LADY ROADRUNNERS FALL AT STOCKTON, 2-0

Box Score Pamona, NJ:  Richard Stockton (12-2-2, 5-1-1 NJAC) kept their unbeaten streak alive as they defeated Ramapo (4-8-0, 1-6-0 NJAC) 2-0 in an NJAC home game at G. Larry James Stadium. The Ospreys are now 7-0-1 in their last eight games after scoring a pair of goals in the second half for the victory.

Even though Stockton outshot the Roadrunners 8-3 during the opening 45 minutes, the score was knotted 0-0 at the break. The second half was a different story as the Ospreys took control of the match by wearing down Ramapo and creating scoring opportunities.

The effort paid off as Amanda Magana (Sicklerville/Timber Creek) put a shot to the top corner off of a Jess McQuillen (Tabernacle/Seneca) pass to put the Ospreys on top 1-0 at the 64:10 mark. The goal was Magana's first of the season, while McQuillen picked up her team-leading sixth assist of the year.

Just under four minutes later, Leah Braidi (Vineland/Sacred Heart) nearly scored on a header that clanked off the crossbar. Kiera Hines (Deptford/Deptford) potted her fourth tally of the year when she tipped in a crossing pass from Dailey Todd (Millville/Millville) at the 74:16 mark to give Stockton a two-goal advantage and set the 2-0 final score.

Stockton goalkeeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill/Paul VI) earned her fourth solo shutout of the season by making four saves, including three in the opening period. Ramapo keeper Talia Auslin kicked out seven Osprey attempts in taking the loss.

Stockton next game is on the road as they travel John Jay on Monday for a 7:30 pm start. The Roadrunners return home to face York College on Wednesday at 4 pm.
