Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated the City College of New York, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-14) in the 2011 season opener for the Roadrunners.

Ramapo's Michelle Ferrari led both teams with 14 kills on 31 attempts as she hit .323 for the match while Allison DiAngelo recorded double digit kills with 11 on 22 attempts to hit .318. Ferrari also added a team high 12 digs along with teammate Elizabeth Steck.

Tiffany Fischer dished out a match high 29 assists while also posting two service aces and two digs. Sara Pendleton added seven kills, three aces and two total block in her first collegiate match.  Deandra Black contributed four kills and one block, also her first match of her career. Ramapo posted three total blocks in the match and 33 digs.

For the Beavers, Dalliana Toussaint led the team with eight kills while Sophia Palumbo added nine assists and Toussaint added a match high 16 digs.

Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 9th when they travel to the Scranton University Invitational for a 6:00pm match against Clarkson University.
