Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated the #9 Ducks of the Stevens Institute of Technology tonight at the Bradley Center, 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22) to improve to 14-9 overall on the year.  With the four game loss, Stevens falls to 14-8.
Rookie 
Jeff Jones, who earned NECVA Rookie of the Week this week, led the team with 16 kills.  
Paul Konopacki and 
Andrew Brown put away 13 and 12 kills respectively while the team combined for 56 kills on 131 attempts with 25 errors hitting .237.  Rookie setter 
Andrew Balint assisted 46 points and 
Kevin McNerney led the team's defense with 13 digs.  The Ducks combined hitting .217 with 47 kills on 115 attempts with 22 errors.  Leading the way was Jonathan Landis and Thomas Hannum who each recorded 12 kills.  Brandt Grobeis dished out 39 assists and David Evans led the defense with nine digs.  Landis and Timothy Karl each put away four total blocks.
The Roadrunners jumped out to a 1-0 match lead after earning a game one, 25-22 victory behind five kills each from Konopacki and Jones.  The team combined hitting .226 with 15 kills on 31 attempts and Balint assisted on 14 points.  Brown, McNerney, and 
Mike Hrehovcik each added three digs on defense.  For the Ducks, Evans, SteFan PremDas, and Landis each recorded three kills for the team's offensive game while Aaron Ostrovsky led the defense with two digs.  Grobeis dished out six assists in the loss. The Ducks hit .231 as a team with ten kills on 26 attempts and four errors.
In the second game of the match-up, the Roadrunners posted a 25-23 victory hitting .379 as a team with 15 kills on 29 attempts and four errors.  Brown led the way with five kills and Konopacki, 
Joel Castro, and Jones each added three.  Balint led the defense this time with two digs while adding 14 assists.  Hannum led Stevens with four kills as the team went 10-25 with six errors hitting .160.  Evans recorded three digs in the game two loss and PremDas put away two service aces while Grobeis recorded ten assists.
The Ducks closed the gap for match score earning a 25-20 game three win over the Roadrunners.  Hannum led the way with four kills and Landis added three while the team combined hitting 13-31 with three errors hitting .323.  Grobeis assisted on 11 points and Jake Modestow led the defense with three digs. Timothy Karl recorded four total blocks.  Jones led Ramapo's offensive spark with five kills and Brown added three while the team recorded 13 kill on 36 attempts with nine errors hitting .111.  McNerney picked up a team high five digs and Balint chipped in an ace while contributing nine assists.
Ramapo wrapped up that match with a game four, 25-22 victory to take the match, 3-1.  Behind three kills each from Konpacki, 
Brian Colabella, and Jones, Ramapo hit .257 with 13 total kills on 35 attempts. Balint dished out nine assists and McNerney picked up four digs. Konopacki and Jones each put down two blocks.  Landis led the Ducks with six kills and Hannum chipped in four while Grobeis assisted on 12 points.  Hannum led the team's defense with four digs.  Stevens combined putting away 14 kills on 33 attempts with nine errors.
