Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The #2 Ramapo College women's volleyball team battled back in a 3-1 victory over #3 Rowan University in the 2011 NJAC Semi-Finals at the Bradley Center tonight. The Roadrunners improve to 27-6 overall while the Profs end the season at 15-16.
Ramapo advances to play #1 Richard Stockton College this Saturday in Pomona, NJ, the time of the championships match is to be determined.
In a four-set match that saw 18 lead changes, the Roadrunners were able to overcome the Profs to move onto the Championship match for the third time in the last four years. Senior
Michelle Ferrari led both teams with 21 kills on 52 attempts as she hit .346 on the night , she also posted 18 digs. Senior
Allison DiAngelo tallied 13 kills on 29 attempts to hit .345, while she recorded two solo blocks. Senior
Tiffany Fischer dished out a team high 40 assists while adding 12 digs and one kill. Senior
Elizabeth Steck recorded a team high 19 digs and added a .966 passing percentage. Junior
Julia Tuzio tallied eight kills, four assists, four digs and two blocks in the match while rookies
Deandra Black and
Sara Pendleton added six and three kills respectively. Black added five digs and one block while Pendleton posted three digs and two blocks.
For the Profs, Krissy Collins posted a team high 15 kills while Elaina Hansen added 12 kills. Kelsey Donovan added a match high 46 assists.
