Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team battled back in a five set match to defeat NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University, 3-2 (23-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-10).
The Roadrunners (24-4, 6-1) finish second in the conference and earn the #2 seed in the 2011 NJAC Tournament. They receive a by into the semi-final round and will host the winner of #3 Rowan vs. #4 William Paterson on Thursday at 7pm at the Bradley Center. The Scarlet Raptors (13-16, 3-4) earn the league's #5 seed and will take on #4 Montclair State University on November 1st at 7pm at Montclair State.
Ramapo who extends their win streak to 17 straight matches was led by
Michelle Ferrari with a match high 15 kills, she also contributed 11 digs.
Allison DiAngelo,
Sara Pendleton and
Deandra Black each posted seven kills in the match while
Julia Tuzio added five of her own.
Elizabeth Steck tallied a team high 22 digs while
Tiffany Fischer dished out 38 assists. Ferrari led the Roadrunners with six total blocks while DiAngelo and Pendleton posted four each.
For the Scarlet Raptors, Morgan Halbruner posted 15 kills and two blocks while Kristin Koloski added 13 kills and three blocks. Stephanie Miller dished out a match high 46 assists and posted 14 digs while Catherine Tedeja recorded a match high 30 digs. Rebecca Brown tallied nine kills while Olivia Murphy and Elizabeth Idler each added seven of their own.
