Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Kean University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today, 6-1 at the Athletic Center. The Cougars improve to 8-2-1 and remain undefeated at 5-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners stand at 2-6-2 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
Kean got on the board in the 31st minute when Julianna Natale scored a penalty kick, her third goal of the year. The Cougars would score two more goals before Ramapo hit the back of the net.
Liz Samimi scored her first goal of the season in the second half (69:23), cutting the lead to 3-1.
The Cougars' Shelby Pedersen recorded back-to-back goals before Shannon Pedersen scored one of her own, extending the Kean lead to 6-1.
Kaitlin King posted one save for the Cougars while
Talia Auslin tallied ten saves for Ramapo. Kean held a 22-10 advantage in shots in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Manhattanville College on October 5th at 4:00 pm.
