Patchogue, NY: The Ramapo College women's soccer team opened up the 2010 season with a 2-0 win over St. Joseph's College.
Senior
Melanie Pupo (Newton, NJ) put the Roadrunners ahead 1-0 with a goal in the 13th minute in the first half, she was assisted by senior
Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, NJ).
Pupo added an insurance goal in the second half, to go up 2-0, she was assisted by rookie
Sarah Barnes (Sayreville, NJ).
Ramapo recorded eight shots on goal to St. Joseph's two. Pupo finished with three shots on goal while junior
Erica Kunzig (Wayne, NJ) added two. The Roadrunners out shot the Eagles, 14-3 and also had a slight lead in corner kicks, 5-4 in the game.
Junior
Alyssa Krall (Toms River, NJ) started in goal for the Roadrunners, posting one save in the victory. Rookie
Talia Auslin (Fair Lawn, NJ) took over at half-time as she posted one save.
