Riverdale, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated Mount Saint Vincent College today, 3-1 (30-17, 28-30, 30-22, 30-17). The Roadrunners improve to 4-3 overall, 2-0 in the NECVA Metro while the Dolphins fell to 3-5 overall, 0-2 in the conference.
Rookie
Brett Greiner (East Northport, NY) tallied ten kills and nine digs to lead Ramapo in the four set match. Junior
Jeff Elsasser (Barnegat, NJ) and senior
Elvis Cabrera (Clifton, NJ) posted nine kills each while Elsasser posted a team high four service aces.
Senior
Matt Scott (Edison, NJ) recorded a double-double when he tallied 11 digs and 41 assists. Junior
Kevin McNerney (Bayonne, NJ) played flawless defense in posting 11 digs and a perfect passing percentage.
The Roadrunners pounded out 49 kills and recorded nine service aces in the match.
Ramapo returns to action on Monday when they travel to Yeshiva University at 8:00 PM for a NECVA Metro match-up.
