Staten Island, NY: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated the Dolphins, 126-101. The Roadrunners even their record at 2-2 while the Dolphins drop to 1-3.
Ramapo took home eight first place finishes out of 14 events. In the first meet of the day, 200-yard medley relay, the team made up of Laruen Morgan,
Caroline Colgan,
Sarah Kauffman and
Kari Lefebvre took home first place in 2:04.71 while
Breanna Salazar,
Jill Tracey,
Sarah Conway and
Chelsea Cummings placed second in 2:13.55.
The Roadrunners took home the first three finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. In the 1,000 free, Chelsea Neders took first in 12:14.71 while
Bethany Wozniak (12:20.76) and
Rachel Chipolone (12:56.85) placed second and third respectively.
In the 200 free, Cummings
Lindsey Poandl tied for first place in 2:10.09 while
Jenny Lo placed third in 2:31.82. In the 100-yard backstroke, Salazar took first in 1:11.87 while in the 100-yard breaststroke Meghan Robb placed first in 1:15.99.
Kari Lefebvre took first place in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.79 while Cummings placed second in 28.04. Lefebvre also placed first in the 100-yard freestyle while
Alice Sroga took home first in the 200-yard backstroke.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host New Jersey Institute of Technology on December 4th at 2:00 PM.
