ROADRUNNERS ADVANCE IN ECAC METRO/UPSTATE TOURNAMENT

Mahwah, NJ: The Lady Roadrunners earned a 3-0 sweep over the Lightning of Lehman College tonight at the Bradley Center to advance to the semi-finals of the 2010 ECAC Metro/Upstate women's volleyball championship tournament. With the victory Ramapo improves to 25-5 overall and travels to Elmira College on Saturday, November 13th for a 1pm start vs. FDU Florham seeded third. Lehman wraps up their 2010 season at 17-15 overall.

In game one the Roadrunners hit .306 as a team with 13 kills on 36 attempts and two hitting errors behind eight kills from Michelle Ferrari. Ferrari led the team to the 25-16 victory hitting .353 while Maura Burke hit .333 with two kills and no errors. Julia Tuzio dished out nine assists and Elizabeth Steck led the defense with five digs. For Lehman, Besa Zabelaj recorded a team high three kills as Lisa Jagdeo assisted on seven of the team's eight assists in the game. They combined hitting -.028. Zabelaj led the defense with nine digs.

The Roadrunners took a two game lead with a 26-24 win in game two. Meagan Taege led the way this time with five kills while Ferrari and Burke added three apiece. Ramapo combined for 15 kills hitting .306 in the win. Tuzio contributed ten more assists and five digs while Ferrari added another five digs for the team. Lehman hit .244 in the loss with 16 total kills and Vanessa Brown led the Lightning with seven. Jagdeo assisted on 15 points and Gerri-Ann Martin led the team's defense with eight digs.

Ramapo took the match with a 25-15 game three win behind four kills from Allison DiAngelo. Tuzio added ten assists and two service aces and Steck again led the defense with four digs. The team hit .375 in the final game. Lehman went 13-33 with five errors with Martin lead the way with six kills. Jagdeo dished out ten assists and Jennifer Winkler led the defense with four digs.

On the night Ramapo hit .327 with 42 kills and eight errors on 104 attempts. Ferrari led the offensive attack with 12 kills and Taege and DiAngelo finished the night with seven kills each. Steck, Tuzio, and Ferrari all contributed ten digs while Tuzio assisted on 31 points. Lehman went 37-114 with 19 errors hitting .158 behind 13 kills from Martin. Brown added ten kills in the loss and Jagdeo finished the night with 32 assists. Zabelja and Martin added 16 and 15 digs respectively.
