Michelle Ferrari (Marlton, NJ) led the Lady Roadrunners to two road victories today over the Dolphins of Mt. St. Vincent College and the St. Joe's-Brooklyn Bears. Women's volleyball improves to 12-2 overall with the two 3-0 shut out wins.
Ferrari first recorded a team leading 11 kills on 23 attempts with only one error hitting .435 in the team's shut out (25-13, 25-12, 25-21) win over Mt. St. Vincent before posting an additional nine kills on 18 attempts with no errors (.500) in the win over St. Joe's. The team went 29-83 (.229) in the first match-up of the day.
Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) dished out 22 assists and
Elizabeth Steck (Marlton, NJ) led the defense with 13 digs over MSV.
In the 3-0 blanking over St. Joe's (25-9, 25-11, 25-11), Fischer contributed 18 assists and
Meagan Taege (Manahawkin, NJ) recorded seven kills while sophomore
Julia Tuzio (Paramus, NJ) and rookie
Ashley Vandenbulcke (Toms River, NJ) each contributed seven digs to lead the defense to the team's 12th win of the year. Offensively the team hit .284 with 24 kills on 67 attempts. The Roadrunners made five hitting errors in the win.
Ramapo returns to action on Monday, October 4th when they host non-conference opponent York College at 7pm at the Bradley Center.
