Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team defeated non-conference foe, Lancaster Bible College, 5-0 today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 5-8 overall while the Chargers fall to 8-5.

Katie Popowych (Aberdeen, NJ) tallied her third goal of the season just 12:43 into the game off a pass from senior captain
Melanie Pupo (Newton, NJ) to take a 1-0 lead. Pupo then tallied her sixth goal of the season at 20:41 to take a 2-0 lead.
Senior
Brittney Harraka (Clifton, NJ) and rookie
Elizabeth Samimi (New City, NY) teamed up at 44:42 to take at 3-0 lead; it was Harraka's third goal of the season. Ramapo ripped 12 shots in the first half to the Chargers four.
In the second half, junior
Allison Arnold (Monroe Twp., NJ) ripped a header into the back of the net off a corner kick from Pupo, 54:11 into the game and just under two minutes later Harraka tallied her second goal off a pass from senior
Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, NJ) to go up 5-0. The Roadrunner defense would hold off the Chargers to preserve the shutout. Junior
Alyssa Krall (Toms River, NJ) stopped five shots for the Roadrunners in the win.
The Roadrunners return to action this Wednesday when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at 4:00 PM.
