Glassboro, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team won 3-2 over Rowan University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday night.
The set scores were 26-24, 23-25, 25-22, 20-25 and 16-14. The Roadrunners are 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Profs have a 5-3 record with a 0-2 NJAC mark.
Ramapo was led by middle blocker
Kayla Anders (so. Harrington Park, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) with 25 kills. Anders finished the match with a .397 hitting percentage. Middle blocker
Maura Burke (so. Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) and opposite
Kaitlin Smith (so. Westwood, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) both compiled 11 kills. Burke added three blocks, while Smith had four service aces. Setter

For Rowan, middle blocker Chelsea Bowman (sr. Penns Grove, NJ/Park Bible Academy) registered 14 kills and three blocks. Outside hitter Rachel Emig (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had a season best 13 kills. Outside hitter Katie Havlicek (fr. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) compiled 11 kills, 30 digs and four service aces. Libero Casey Roselle (jr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) chipped in with 29 digs and defensive specialist Sarah Betancourt (so. Harrington Park, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) had 15. Setter Chrissy McKay (sr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) collected 37 assists and 23 digs.
Rowan travels to Richard Stockton College on Thursday, September 24 for a 7 p.m. conference match. The Roadrunners return to action on Thursday when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark.
