Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, N.J./Pascack Hills) had 43 assists to lead Ramapo (6-2, 1-0 NJAC) to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-21 victory against host William Paterson (4-2, 0-1 NJAC) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) volleyball season opener for both schools Sept. 15.
Sophomore
Kayla Anders (Harrington Park, N.J./Old Tappan) had 14 kills and junior
Meagan Taege (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) added 10 kills for the Roadrunners, while sophomore
Elizabeth Steck (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) collected a match-best 20 digs.
Senior middle/outside hitter Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) led the Pioneers with 10 kills, freshman libero Michelle Mitchell (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had seven digs, and junior setter Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) posted seven assists.
The Pioneers will host Cedar Crest Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7:00 p.m. Ramapo will next compete Saturday, Sept. 19, at the FDU-Florham Tournament.
