Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team honored its six seniors tonight while hosting the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University at the Bradley Center. Seniors

Dave Ross (Perth Amboy, NJ),
Tom Kohler (East Brunswick, NJ),
Jairo Sierra (Fair Lawn, NJ),
TC Elsasser (Barnegat, NJ), and
Dan Sempkowski (East Brunswick, NJ) shared the court tonight in one of their last home matches as Roadrunners.
The Roadrunners will play their final matches of the 2009 season on April 17th and 18th when they host the 2009 Molten Division III Men's Invitational Volleyball Championship at the Bradley Center. Juniata, Stevens, and UC Santa Cruz will join the Roadrunners in the hunt for the national title.
Tonight, Ramapo went 3-0 (30-23, 30-20, 30-23) with the Gothic Knights earning their 25th victory of the year to improve to 25-7. NJCU falls to 20-15 with the loss.
In game one, Ramapo earned a seven-point win going 30-23, hitting .571. Kohler and Ross recorded five kills each while Donohue added four. Sierra dished out 14 assists and led the defense with four digs. The team combined for 18 kills on 28 attempts with only two errors while NJCU put away 14 kills as a team hitting .207. Chris Edra (Edison, NJ) led the Gothic Knights in game one with five kills while
Kevin Rodgers (Clifton, NJ) added four. Jorge Rodriguez (Cuba) contributed 11 assists in the game.
Kohler and Donohue recorded five kills each in a game two 30-20 win. Elsasser added four kills and Sierra dished out 19 assists. Kohler and Elsasser led the defense with four digs each. The team hit .400 with 19 kills on 35 attempts while NJCU went 8-31 with eight errors hitting .000. Rodgers added two kills in the game.
In the final game of the match, Ramapo came out ahead, 30-23 earning the win. The team hit .289 going 17-38 with six errors while NJCU hit 11-28 with eight errors hitting .107. Elsasser and Donohue recorded four kills each and Sierra added nine assists in the win. NJCU was led by Rodgers with four kills.
On the night, Sempkowski hit .636 with seven kills while Kohler and Donohue added 11 and 13 respectively. Elsasser chipped in ten kills and Ross added nine hitting .600. Sierra finished the night with 42 assists and Sempkowski and Sierra led the defense with seven digs each.
Rodgers led the Gothic Knights with ten kills and Rodriguez dished out 28 assists.
