Danbury, CT:  Junior Jessica Majeski (Norwalk, CT) scored three straight second-half goals, and four for the game, to lead the Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team to a 17-10 victory over Ramapo College Tuesday evening at the Westside Athletic Complex.

Senior Whitney Fairchild (New Milford, CT) scored three goals for the Colonials, while senior Ashley Caruso (Northport, NY), junior Kara Kruczkiewicz (Brookfield, CT), freshman Jessica Bouwman (New Milford, CT), freshman Brianna Mitterando (Mastic Beach, NY), and sophomore Kaitlyn Mo (Hampstead, NC) each added two goals.

The score remained close for the game's first 20 minutes, with neither team able to build more than a one-goal lead. With the score tied 6-6, Kara Kruczkiewicz scored an unassisted goal at the 8:52 mark that started a run of five straight WestConn goals to close out the first half, giving the Colonials an 11-6 half-time lead.

A goal by Jessica Bouwman midway through the second half pushed the WestConn lead to 14-7, but Ramapo seized the momentum and quickly scored two goals to narrow the margin to 14-9. Jessica Majeski made sure the Roadrunners would draw no closer, scoring three straight unassisted goals to give WestConn a commanding 17-9 lead with just over four minutes to play. Pfarr capped off the scoring for Ramapo College to make WestConn's final margin of victory 17-10.

With tonight's win, WestConn's season record now stands at 4-3, while Ramapo College falls to 1-6.

Ramapo hosts the College of Mount St. Vincent on April 4th at 1:00 PM.
