Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (30-20, 30-15, 30-22) victory tonight over the Beavers of the City College of New York. The #9 ranked Roadrunners improve to 7-1 overall while CCNY falls to 1-7.
Rookie
Paul Konopacki (Monroe Twp., NJ) led the Roadrunners with 14 kills on 17 attempts with no errors hitting .824, while
Josh Castillo (Garfield, NJ) added nine kills hitting .615 in the win.
Luca Taormina (Cherry Hill, NJ) and
Matt Agnew (Fair Lawn, NJ) recorded nine kills apiece, while
Matt Whitford (Lyndhurst, NJ) added eight, and junior setter
Matt Scott (Edison, NJ) dished out a team high 42 assists. The defense was led by
Edward Rossiter (Edison, NJ) with 11 digs. Castillo recorded a total five blocks in the match.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow night when they face off with NECVA Metro rival, Mt. St. Vincent at 7:00pm in the Bradley Center.
