Josh Castillo (Garfield, NJ) led the Roadrunners with ten kills in route to a men's volleyball 3-0 (30-17, 30-16, 30-19) shut out victory over the Raptors of Bard College. With the win, Ramapo improves to 16-1 overall, and remains undefeated in the NECVA Metro conference at 5-0. Bard falls to 9-5 overall, 2-2 in the conference.
Castillo recorded ten kills on 15 attempts while fellow rookie
Colin McNeill (Little Falls, NJ) and junior
Elvis Cabrera (Clifton, NJ) added nine kills each in the win. Sophomore
Matt Whitford (Lyndhurst, NJ) hit a perfect 7-7 while the team went 47-79 with 18 errors hitting .367 on the night.
Matt Scott (Edison, NJ) dished out 39 assists and sophomore
Kevin McNerney (Bayonne, NJ) led the team's defense with seven digs.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Bradley Center when they take on Division I Sacred Heart University.
