RAMAPO GETS BARUCH IN FIVE

New York, NY:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team went up two games to none before the Bearcats of Baruch College fought back to even the score at two games apiece.  The Roadrunners pushed out game five to just pass by the Bearcats earning the 3-2 victory.  #9-ranked Ramapo College improves to 15-1 overall.

The visiting Roadrunners quickly jumped out by winning the opening two sets (30-24, 30-23), but the Bearcats rallied with back-to-back 30-28, 30-26 wins to turn what seemed like a run-away match into a tight contest.

The Bearcats carried the momentum with a 5-1 advantage at the beginning of the fifth-set, but Ramapo rallied back to get the match tied at 15-15.

They clinched the victory with the final two points to improve their record to 15-1 on the regular season. The Bearcats suffered their fourth straight loss to drop to 16-8.

Pablo Oliveira led Baruch with 15 kills, 10 digs and three aces, while Danial Levent and Eryk Kowalski had 14 kills each.

Matt McKee, a freshman from West Islip High School on Long Island, totaled 12 kills and 10 total blocks in playing a big factor for Baruch in the rally.
