Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (30-8, 30-14, 30-17) victory tonight over the Maccabees of Yeshiva University in a NECVA Metro match-up to improve to 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference. Yeshiva falls to 4-5 overall, 0-2 in the conference.
Senior
Shane Donohue (Freehold Twp., NJ) put away six kills in the first game while the team combined for 16 hitting .682. In game two the Roadrunners added 15 more kills on the night hitting .462. Junior setter
Matt Scott (Edison,NJ) set the first two games dishing out 26 assists while
Tom Kohler (East Brunswick, NJ) put away six kills in two games. Senior
Dave Ross (Perth Amboy, NJ) made an appearance in all three games recording a team high nine kills. Ross hit .389 in the win while the team combined hitting .456 with 44 kills on 78 attempts.
Yeshiva was led by Zanvy Grauman (Silver Spring, MD) and David Kahana (Silver Spring, MD) who recorded five and seven kills respectievly. Joseph Bajtner (Skokie, IL) dished out 14 assists. The Maccabees hit -.085 on the night with 18 total kills.
The Roadrunners return to action this weekend when they travel to the Endicott Tournament to face off with MIT and Emmanuel at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM respectively.
