Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated the Lightning of Lehman College today at the Bradley Center, 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-22). The Roadrunners improve to 16-4 overall while Lehman falls to 6-9.
Sophomore
Kayla Anders (Harrington Park, NJ) led Ramapo with 11 kills on 19 attempts for a .579 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Kaitlin Smith (Westwood, NJ) pounded out nine kills and one block in the match. Sophomore
Allison DiAngelo (Clifton, NJ) tallied five kills while adding two service aces.
Rookie
Julia Tuzio (Paramus, NJ) and senior
Meagan Taege (Manahawkin, NJ) added four kills and one ace a piece. Sophomore setter
Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) dished out 34 assists on the night while adding one kill and eight digs.
For the Lightning, junior Lakeisha Gordon (Brooklyn, NY) and sophomore Jennifer Winkler (Glendale, NY) posted six kills each while Winkler tallied seven digs. Sophomore setter Lisa Jagdeo (Bronx, NY) posted 15 assists.
Ramapo pounded out 43 kills in the match hitting .283 while the Lightning tallied 20 kills in the match. The Roadrunners also posted seven service aces.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJAC foe to New Jersey City University on October 13th at 7:00 PM.
