Ewing, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team fell to the Lions of the College of New Jersey today, 188-61 in Ramapo's season opener. The Roadrunners fall to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC while the Lions improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
Rookie
Brenda Slazyk (Clifton, NJ) set two team records today. In the 50-meter freestyle she took home second place with a time of 26:18 and in the 100-meter freestyle she finished in second place when she finished in 56:83.
Sophomore
Chelsey Neders (Coopersburg, PA) was third in the 500-meter free with a time of 5:49.36. Rookies
Alaina Lombardi (Mullica Hill, NJ) placed second in the 100-meter butterfly (1:10.15)
Jenny Lo (Toms River, NJ) took home second place in the 200-meter IM, 2:24.03.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Drew University on Saturday, November 7th for a 1:00 PM start.
