Albany, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team split a quad-match today against Sage College and SUNY Brockport. The Roadrunners now stand at 18-6 overall on the season.
They defeated Sage College, 3-2 (25-22, 25-15, 25-18, 25-17, 15-7) behind sophomore
Kayla Anders (Harrington Park, NJ) who tallied a match high 21 kills while hitting .543. She also posted four solo blocks in the match.
Sophomore
Kaitlin Smith (Westwood, NJ) pounded out 14 kills with only one error to hit .650. Sophomore
Maura Burke (Wyckoff, NJ) posted five solo blocks and five kills in the match while sophomore
Kimberly Runge (Closter, NJ) tallied nine kills and 16 digs and one service ace.
Sophomore setter
Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) dished out 41 assists and posted four digs.
The Roadrunners fell to SUNY Brockport, 1-3 (25-27, 28-30, 25-20, 24-26). Smith and Burke led the team with 14 kills apiece and both tallied five total blocks.
Anders posted ten kills and four blocks while sophomore
Allison DiAngelo (Clifton, NJ) posted three kills and three service aces. Fischer dished out 35 assists while blocking two.
The Roadrunners will return to action when they host NJAC rival Kean University on October 20th at 7:00 PM.
