Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated the Lady Bears of St. Joseph's College today, 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-12) to improve to 6-5 on the year. The Lady Bears fall to 2-3.
The Roadrunners were led by rookie
Kayla Anders (Harrington Park, NJ) who hit .167 with 11 kills on 17 attempts and no errors. Fellow
Kimberly Runge (Closter, NJ) recorded nine kills and nine digs with one solo block while sophomore
Tara Tielman (Gillette, NJ) and rookie
Alexandra Mendoza (Haskell, NJ) combined for eight kills.
Rookie setters Michelle DelValle (Teaneck, NJ) and
Tiffany Fischer (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) dished out 15 and ten assists respectivley. The Roadrunners combined for 32 kills on 84 attemps with 12 errors hitting .238 in their sixth win of the year.
Yliane Ulloa (Queens, NY) led the Lady Bears with seven kills while Jamie Mascetti (Queens, NY) dished out 13 assists and led the team's defense with nine digs. The Lady Bears recorded a total of 19 kills in the match.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, September 23rd at home when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at 7:00 PM.
