Bridgewater, VA: The Lady Roadrunners soccer team earned a 3-1 season opening victory over Buffalo State College today in the 2008 Bridgewater Invitational in Bridgewater, Virginia. The Roadrunners open the year at 1-0 and return to action tomorrow when they face Catholic University at 1:30 PM.

Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, NJ) gave the Roadrunners a 1-0 edge off a cross from fellow sophomore
Melissa Demko (East Brunswick, NJ) at 16:31 before Demko scored one of her own at the 60 minute mark to go up 2-0 on Buffalo State. Demko took a pass from
Melanie Pupo (Newton, NJ) on the play.
Pupo then gave Ramapo insurance at 63:32 off a cross from Bruno. Buffalo State got on the scoreboard with 20 minutes to go in the game but junior goalkeeper
Jessica DaRold (Sayreville, NJ) blocked five shots holding Buffalo State for the 3-1 Ramapo victory.
DaRold played the full 90 minutes in front of the net. Ramapo out shot Buffalo by a slight, 15-14.
