ROWAN TOO MUCH FOR RAMAPO

Mahwah, NJ: In a NJAC conference match-up, the Ramapo College women's swim team fell to the Profs of Rowan University, 70-117. Ramapo falls to 1-3 overall, 0-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Profs improve to 2-3 overall, and 2-0 in the conference.

The Rowan 200-yard medley relay team, made up of Alicia Mackleer (Mays Landing, NJ), Janina Wojcik (Toms River, NJ), Stacey Rahter (Somers Point, NJ), and Kate Winters (West Windsor, NJ) placed first overall after touching the poolside just over five seconds before the second place Ramapo team. Mackleer earned a second first place ribbon in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing the race in 26.65 seconds. Mackleer also won first place on the 200-yard freestyle team (1:48.49) while teammate Julianne Furdyna (Livingston, NJ) earned a first place ribbon in the 1,000-yard freestyle clocking in at 11:20.90. Samantha King (Marmora, NJ) earned nine points for the Profs in the 200-yard IM finishing in 2:22.18 and Sarah Peay (Morristown, NJ) touched the poolside in 1:07.12 in the 100-yard butterfly for a first place ribbon of her own.

For the Roadrunners, Kathy Murphy (Howell, NJ) placed first in the 200-yard freestyle clocking in at 2:08.72 for nine points. Murphy earned another nine points in the 100-yard backstroke finishing the race in 1:05.05. Murphy combined efforts with Stephanie Sinck (Bridgewater, NJ), Lauren Chrzanowski (East Brunswick, NJ), and Jenna DiLolle (Haddon Twp., NJ) for the 200-yard medley, placing second in 2:03.90.

The Roadrunners return to action on December 6th when they host Adelphia University at home at 2:00 PM.
