East Stroudsburg, PA: The Ramapo College women's swim team fell short on the road against East Stroudsburg University, 81-118. Ramapo falls to 2-4 on the season.

The Roadrunners were led by rookie captain Erika Axelsson (North Cape May, NJ) as she placed first in the 1,000 freestyle in 31.19. Right behind her was teammate Kerri Adams (Parlin, NJ) in second place with a time of 31.44. Adams also placed second in the 100 butterfly in 1:08.03 while rookie Karen Labos (North Brunswick, NJ) finished fifth overall in 35.12.

Ramapo's 200-yard medley relay team made up of rookies Danielle Burigio (Manalapan, NJ), Megan Robb (Blackwood, NJ), Axelsson and May Lauzon (Teaneck, NJ) placed second with a time of 2:01.22.

Heather Olsen (Old Bridge, NJ) and Burgio finished third (2:11.87) and fourth (2:12.00) respectively in the 200 freestyle. Axelsson and Adams teamed up again in the 500 freestyle and took home first and second place respectively. Axelson finished with a time of 5:31.26 while Adams finished in 6:02.00.

Christina Polgar (Wayne, NJ) placed second in the 100 breaststroke, 1:15.10 while Robb was right behind her in third place finishing in 1:15.46. The 200 freestyle relay team made up of Valerie Dealy (Old Bridge, NJ), Robb, Rachel Chipolone (Fair Lawn, NJ) and Labos finished first overall in 1:56.56.

The Lady Roadrunners will take on the University of Bridgeport and CW Post in a dual meet in Bridgeport, CT on January 26, 2008 at Noon.
