ROADRUNNERS FALL SHORT, 1-2 TO FARMINGDALE

Mahwah, NJ:  The Roadrunners dropped a non-conference match-up, 1-2 to the Rams of Farmingdale State at the Athletic Center in Mahwah.  With the loss, the Roadrunners fall to 4-4 overall while Farmingdale improves to 3-4 on the year.

After a scoreless first half, Ramapo's rookie forward Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, NJ) dribbled up the middle and ripped a shot past Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, NY)at 55:47 to give the Roadrunners a 1-0 edge.  Farmingdale answered back just under 20 minutes later after Monica Grisales (Brentwood, NY) grabbed hold of the ball and took a shot which slipped out of Jessica DaRold's (Sayreville, NJ) hands tying t he game at 1-1.  Sophomore forward Kristine Ostrem (West Islip, NY) posted what turned out to be the game winner at 71:36 earning the Rams their third win of the year.

DaRold made two saves in the team's fourth loss of the year while Sontag finished the day with six saves in the full 90 minutes.  Ramapo out shot the Rams, 11-5 in the game.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, September 19th when they host NJAC rival New Jersey City University at 4:30 PM.
