Mahwah, NJ: The first round of the 2007 NCAA DIII Men's Basketball tournament commenced at the Bradley Center on the campus of Ramapo College tonight in Mahwah. The second game featured the Cardinals of York College and the Ramapo College Roadrunners, in a rematch of a mid-January game in which the Roadrunners won handily, 81-62. Ramapo defeated the Cardinals, 77-68 to improve to 22-7 overall, finishing York's season at 18-11.

Ramapo scored the first eight points of the game, and continued to dominate the first half of play as they opened up a 19-6 lead five minutes into the game. York outscored the Roadrunners 12-3 over the next five minutes to climb back into the game, 22-18. A three pointer from Jason Marshall (Hackensack, NJ) ignited a Ramapo run allowing them to score 26 of the half's final 36 points.

For the first six minutes of the second half, the teams played even to the tune of a 60-40 score, before the Roadrunners extended the lead to 23, 71-48 with eight minutes remaining following a Kevin Findlay (Roselle, NJ) lay-in. The Cardinals then mounted a furious comeback effort. They scored the next 16 points of the game, capped off by a Kris Baril (Brooklyn, NY) three-pointer. Two Mosby free throws extinguished the York rally to put the Roadrunners up by nine, which was the final margin, 77-68.
