New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team opened to a 1-0 start in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association tonight when they dropped the Maccabees of Yeshiva University, 3-0 (30-10, 30-18, 30-11). The Roadrunners improve to 4-0 on the year, 1-0 in the conference.
Rookie
Elvis Cabrera (Clifton, NJ) led the team recording ten kills on 14 attempts with only one error hitting .643 on the night. Cabrera contributed two service aces and totaled three blocks while fellow rookie
Matt Scott (Edison, NJ) dished out 33 assists in the win.
Greg Steward (Jersey City, NJ) and Todd Elsasser (Barnegat, NJ) recorded eight and seven kills respectively and
Chris Anderson (Chester, NY) added six of his own. Steward led the defense with six digs. The team hit a combined 41-83 with 17 errors going .289.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, January 27th when they host Lancaster Bible at noon.
