TCNJ REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN NJAC PLAY WITH 3-0 VICTORY OVER RAMAPO

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team hosted NJAC rival The College of NJ today at the Athletic Center posting a 3-0 loss to fall to 5-8-2 overall, 1-6 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Lions remain undefeated in NJAC play improving to 5-0-1. TCNJ now stands at 9-1-2 overall.

The Lions got on the board early with two quick goals coming from junior Dana DiBruno (Cherry Hill, NJ) and Jillian Casey (Vorhees, NJ). DiBruno scored her seventh goal of the season, hitting the back of the net on a pass by junior Kristen Cubicciotti (North Haledon, NJ) at 2:24 and Casey gave the Lions the 2-0 edge just over three minutes later off an assist from DiBruno, 5:52.

TCNJ out shot Ramapo 6-2 while earning six corner kicks to Ramapo's zero in the first half.

The Lions posted their final goal of the game in the second half when rookie Kristina Shemming (Cranberry, NJ) headed in a free kick from junior Courtney Krol (Howell, NJ). The goal came at 76:19 and was Shemming's sixth of the year.

The Lions' goalkeeper Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ) recorded two saves on the day while Roadrunner goalie freshman Jessica DaRold (Sayreville, NJ) posted two of her own letting up two goals and junior Samantha Gribben (Pequannock, NJ) finished with four saves letting up TCNJ's final goal.

TCNJ ripped six second half shots while Ramapo was held to zero.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 18th when they take on SUNY Purchase at 4:00 PM while the Lions face William Paterson at 7:30 PM on Thursday, October 19th.
