Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team defeated Farmingdale State today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah, 2-1. The Roadrunners improve to 7-4-3 overall while Farmingdale falls to 5-5-1.

Junior forward LISA BALDINO (Markboro, NJ) jump-started the Roadrunners in the sixth minute when she hit the back of the net off a corner from fellow junior MEGHAN FARRELL (Monroe Twp., NJ) giving the Roadrunners a 1-0 lead. Sophomore LINDSAY KOTULA (Manalapan, NJ) followed with a quick second goal at 6:18, her fifth of the year. Junior MARYBETH LYONS (Old Bridge, NJ) earns the assist.

Just over eight minutes later, Farmingdale fought back adding a goal of their own unassisted by Natalie Budinich (Commack, NY) closing the gap, 2-1.

The second half ended scoreless and Ramapo prevailed dropping the Rams, 2-1 in a non-conference match-up.

Senior goal tender CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ) played the full 90 minutes letting up one goal while Pam Baione (Farmingdale, NY) blocked 13 shots with two goals against in the full 90 minutes.

The Roadrunners will host Stockton tomorrow at 4:00 PM for a NJAC match-up.
