Men's Basketball

KEAN POWERS OVER RAMAPO, 83-64

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team played host to NJAC rival Kean University tonight at the Athletic Center recording an 83-64 loss in Mahwah. Ramapo falls to 11-9 overall, 3-6 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Cougars of Kean improve to 15-6, 5-4 in the conference.

Senior guard Janae Brumby (Trenton, NJ) netted 17 points while adding a team-high seven assists to lead the Cougars in the conference victory. Rookie Chi Clark (Maplewood, NJ) posted a double-double with 15 points and ten boards shooting 4-9 from the field, 7-10 from the free throw line and Shervon James (Brooklyn, NY) and Kellie Rice (Willingboro, NJ) followed with 14 and 13 points respectively. James pulled down seven rebounds and Rice grabbed four steals in the game. The Cougars shot 32-72 (44%) from the floor over the Roadrunners 22-62 (36%)

For the Roadrunners, sophomore VANESSA VARGAS (Union City, NJ) shot 8-17 for 23 points and DANIELLE HUNT (Englewood, NJ) added 12 shooting 5-9 from the field. Rookie KEONA PALMER (Port Reading, NJ) led the team pulling down ten rebounds. PALMER added five points in the match-up with two steals and one assist. Senior guards KATIE ARCURI (Staten Island, NY) and STEPHANIE PILLARI (Westwood, NJ) posted seven points and seven boards and seven points and eight boards respectively. PILLARI and JANINE CAPPADONA (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) combined for six assists.

The Roadrunners will host Rowan University on Saturday, February 7th at 1:00 PM.
