Mahwah , NJ : The Ramapo College women's soccer team played host to NJAC rival Rowan University today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. Ramapo dropped a 3-0 decision falling to 7-19-1 overall, 0-6-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Profs improve to 9-4-2 overall, 3-2-2 in the conference.
The game remained scoreless until the 50th minute when sophomore Jackie Kane (Avenal, NJ ) hit the back of the net giving the Profs a 1-0 lead over the Roadrunners. Junior Amy Witcraft (Shamong, NJ ) recorded one of her own at 57:29, unassisted, and Kane added insurance 18 minutes later, unassisted, shutting out the Roadrunners, 3-0 in NJAC action.
Gabrielle Ditchey (Mt. Laurel, NJ ) recorded the shut out posting five saves in 90 minutes while CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ ) blocked six in the loss.
The Roadrunners will travel to Rutgers Camden for their final NJAC regular season game of the season on Wednesday, Saturday, October 27th at 5:00 PM.
