Mahwah , NJ : The Ramapo College women's soccer team defeated New Jersey City , 7-1 today at the Athletic Center in Mahwah. The Roadrunners improve to 6-7-1 overall while the Gothic Knights fall to 2-9-1 for the year.

Rookie LINDSAY KOTULA (Manalapan , NJ ) led the Roadrunners posting two goals and four assists for eight total points. KOTULA added her first assist of the game when she connected with AMY KETCHERSID (Point Pleasant , NJ ) just over one minute into the game. Rookie JESSICA GIORDANO (Oakland , NJ ) gave the Roadrunners a 2-0 lead at 51:06 and KETCHERSID added her second of the game at 52:33, both assists came from KOTULA. KOTULA hit the back of the net on back-to-back goals at 56:13 and 61:03 and CHRISSY GIORDANO (Oakland, NJ) added two of her own taking a 7-0 lead.

With just over one minute left in the game, Katie Feehan (Manasquan , NJ ) ended the shut out posting one for the Gothic Knights off a corner kick.

CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood , NJ ) and rookie SAMANTHA GRIBBEN (Pequannock , NJ ) split time in front of the net recording zero and two saves respectively for the Roadrunners while rookie goalkeeper Cassandra Zieniuk (Bayonne , NJ ) grabbed 13 saves with seven goals against in the loss.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 13th when they travel to Manhattanville at 4:30 PM .
