Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team played host to the Bearcats of Baruch College tonight at the Athletic Center posting a 114-88 victory. Ramapo records their 11th win of the season improving to 11-4 while the Bearcats fall to 7-8 overall.
Ramapo ended the first half up by 25, 59-34 shooting 24-44 (55%) from the floor. Senior GREG MCBAIN (Waldwick, NJ) shot a perfect 7-7 from the floor, 3-3 from the line for 17 points in the half. MCBAIN finished the game with 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. The team shot 42-84 (50%) in the game over Baruch's 30-67 (44%).
Senior guard CHARLES RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ) led the team with 18 points and five rebounds. RANSOM grabbed five steals in the match-up while rookie JOHN WOJCIK (Sayreville, NJ) grabbed five of his own. WOJCIK netted ten points and AMIN WRIGHT (Jersey City, NJ) and JARED MILLIGAN (Ringwood, NJ) recorded 15 and 12 respectively.
John Burzo (Brooklyn, NY) led the Bearcats with a career-high 37 points shooting 12-22 from the floor, 7-11 from behind the arc. Burzo grabbed two boards and Sime Marnika (Long Island City, NY) led the team with nine. Marnika recorded 13 points and Garry Etienne (Jamaica, NY) posted 11.
Ramapo will host Richard Stockton College on Wednesday, January 21st at 8:00 PM
