Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team played host to the Cougars of Kean University today at the Athletic Center in the opening match-up of NJAC competition. Ramapo fell short, 0-3 falling to 4-2-1 overall, 0-1 in the NJAC while Kean improves to 3-3-2, 1-0 in the conference.

Ramapo and Kean ended the first half, 0-0 at a stand still with the Roadrunners posting eight shots to Kean's six. Kean posted their first goal just two minutes into the second when rookie Heather Anzivino (Belford, NJ) connected with a pass from rookie Brienne Campbell (Freehold, NJ). Nicole Giancaspro (Mahwah, NJ) netted the second goal off a pass from Anzivino and Campbell added a second insurance goal at 67:31 assisted by Giancaspro.

Sophomore goalkeeper CHRISTY TURNER (Ringwood, NJ) blocked nine shots, letting up three goals in 90 minutes. Jessica Kogel (Hamilton, NJ) stopped seven for the shutout in Mahwah.

The Roadrunners will host William Paterson on Wednesday, September 24th at 4:30 PM.
