Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team played host to the Macabees of Yeshiva University tonight at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners downed the Macabees, 3-0 (30-14, 30-14, 30-15). Ramapo improves to 8-1 overall, 4-0 in the conference while Yeshiva falls to 0-6 overall, 0-6 NECVA.
Ramapo was led by rookie GERALD REINER (Avenel, NJ) with nine kills and three total blocks. Junior KRIS FRASER (Lakewood, NJ) hit .500 on the night (6-12) killing eight. FRASER also added one solo block and three assisted. Senior PEDRO HERNANDEZ (West New York, NJ) dished out a team high 44 assists while adding two service aces in the game. DUSTIN COGLIANO (West Islip, NJ) led the defense with six digs.
For the Macabees, Rosenburg Roman (New York, NY) led the team with eight kills.
The Roadrunners will travel to Stevens Tech on Saturday, February 15th for a tri-match with Polytechnic at noon.
