RAMAPO UPSETS #6 MONTCLAIR STATE, 85-83 IN OVERTIME

Upper Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team upset the Red Hawks of Montclair State tonight at Panzer Gymnasium, 85-83 in overtime. Ramapo snaps a two-game losing streak improving to 4-2 overall, 1-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Montclair records their first loss of the 2003-2004 season falling to 2-1 overall, 0-1 in the conference.

Senior guard CHARLES RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ) scored 21 points, including six from the free throw line in overtime. RANSOM grabbed two boards and added two assists in the team's fourth victory of the season. JARED MILLIGAN (Ringwood, NJ) added a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds while AMIN WRIGHT (Jersey City, NJ) had 15 points for the Roadrunners. Rookie ANTOINE PRYOR (Elizabeth, NJ) had ten points for Ramapo while senior GREG MCBAIN (Waldwick, NJ) pulled down ten rebounds and dished out five assists.

For the Red Hawks, junior Duquan Everett (Orange, NJ) had a game-high 26 points and 18 rebounds. Lamont Newell (Lodi, NJ) finished with 19 points and six assists for MSU with Gian Paul Gonzalez (North Haledon, NJ) adding 14 points and eight rebounds.

Ramapo will host The College of Staten Island for their final match-up until after the holidays on Saturday, December 13th at 3:30 PM.
