Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team dropped the Cardinals of York College today, 99-81 at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 10-2 overall while the Cardinals fall to 4-7 overall.
Ramapo was up ten points (49-39) at the half shooting 16-28 (57%) from the floor over York's 17-33 (50%). Senior point guard TENNYSON WHITTED (Jersey City, NJ) dished out five assists in the half while racking up six points. WHITTED ended the game with 12 assists and nine points while chipping in four steals. Junior CHARLES RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ) led the Roadrunners tallying 21 points and two assists. KEVIN STOKES (Wyckoff, NJ) and RASHEEN GADSEN (Jersey City, NJ) netted 19 and 16 points respectively. GADSEN pulled down seven rebounds and junior transfer GREG MCBAIN (Waldwick, NJ) added 13 points and seven boards of his own.
Kwesi Liverpool (S. Ozone Park, NY) led York with 26 points and seven rebounds while Antoine Green (Far Rockaway, NY) added 17 and Michael Thompson (Jamaica, NY) added 16. Jason Daniel (Brooklyn, NY) contributed eight assists.
The Roadrunners ended the game 34-64 from the floor (53%) and the Cardinals shot 35-67 (52%).
Ramapo will travel to Richard Stockton on Saturday, January 11th at 4:00 PM.
