Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team played host to the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University today at the Athletic Center dropping a 1-3 (30-21, 14-30, 31-33, 27-30) decision. The Roadrunners fall to 2-5 overall, 0-2 NJAC while the Gothic Knights improve to 2-2 overall, 1-0 NJAC.
Marcia Penha (East Newark, NJ) led the way for NJCU recording 14 kills, four total blocks, and three digs while sophomore setter Leydi Zuluaga (West New York, NJ) posted 38 assists and 18 digs. Melissa Pablos (Secaucus, NJ) and Lucille Villaplana (Newark, NJ) each added 12 digs of their own.
For the Roadrunners, rookie SAMANTHA WEJNERT (Paramus, NJ) tallied 11 kills while LINDSEY WESTON (Torrington, CT) dished out 34 assists and four service aces.
The Roadrunners will travel to Kean University on Thursday, September 19th at 7:00 PM.
