Van Leeuwen earns NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week honors after traveling to New York City to compete at the New York Relays. He placed first in a field of eight competitors in the pole vault with a school-record and NCAA provisional mark of 4.85 meters. Van Leeuwen’s performance helped propel the Roadrunners to a second place overall finish in the 16-team meet.
