Appezzato earns the first NJAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week selection after traveling to Charlotte, NC to compete at the 49ers Classic hosted by the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She placed first in a field of 32 competitors in the javelin with an ECAC qualifying throw of 47.90 meters. The defending national champion in the javelin event, Appezzato’s winning throw currently represents the best NCAA Division III mark in the event this season.
