Hernandez earns the first NJAC Men’s Outdoor Rookie of the Week selection after traveling to Charlotte, NC to compete at the 49ers Classic hosted by UNC-Charlotte. In the first outdoor meet of his collegiate career, he placed first in a field of 119 competitors in the 1,500 meters with an ECAC qualifying and a school-record time of 3:53.33. The G. Larry James NJAC Most Outstanding Indoor Track & Field Athlete, Hernandez currently holds the top NJAC mark and the second best 1,500 meter time in all of NCAA Division III this season.
