Furman earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after traveling to Springfield, MA to compete at the Springfield College Invitational. She placed second in a field of 38 competitors in the shot put with a school-record mark of 12.23 meters. She also placed second in a field of 37 throwers in the weight throw with a school-record toss of 15.73 meters. Furman’s runner-up throws in the shot put and weight throw currently rank first and second respectively in the NJAC this season, while her mark in the weight throw also currently ranks 18th overall in NCAA Division III.
