Hernandez earns the final NJAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award of the 2018 season after wrapping up his college career with a bang. The senior garnered two All-America distinctions at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin, over the weekend. He finished as the national runner-up in the 1500, clocking a 3:53.17, before turning around just an hour later and earning his second All-America honor in that span with a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters (1:51.66). Hernandez capped off a collegiate career that saw him win the NJAC 800 and 1500 meters in each of his four seasons; earn NJAC’s Thomas M. Gerrity Most Outstanding Athlete honor three times and Outstanding Track Athlete once.
