NJAC SOFTBALL PRESEASON POLL ANNOUNCED

ROADRUNNERS TABBED TO FINISH 3RD IN THE LEAGUE

Mahwah, NJ:  The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced the 2026 NJAC Softball preseason poll this afternoon seeing Ramapo College tabbed to finish third in the league.

Head softball coach Bridgette Quimpo enters her 13th season at the helm of the Roadrunner program and her 23rd overall while she's earned 414 career coaching victories. The 2025 team posted a 33-11 overall record and finished as the league's runner-up in the NJAC Tournament for the third straight season. The team also earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year and played in the Gettysburg Regional Final. Quimpo welcomes back senior outfielders Kori Gargiulo and Lia Milsom along with infielder Avery Kontura, catcher Hannah Hensler and right-handed pitcher Brooke Knight. Gargiulo, who earned NJAC First Team All-Conference and NFCA All-Region last season, finished third on the team with 42 hits including 12 doubles and one triple. Milsom, who earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference, led the team with 22 stolen bases (22-23) and recorded 22 hits last year. Kontura, who earned NFCA All-Region, was second on the team with 43 hits including 11 doubles with 21 RBI and 22 runs scored. Hensler collected 36 hits including a team best 13 doubles while posting 24 RBI and 22 runs scored. Behind the plate, Hensler tallied 230 putouts and 30 assists while she threw out 12 runners. In the circle, Knight made 20 appearances with three starts while earning a 7-2 win-loss record along with four saves. Knight struck out 46 over 64.2 innings pitched with four shutouts and three complete games. Quimpo will also look to her newcomers for an immediate impact on the field in Mikayla McJilton (RHP), Gabby Morgan (RHP), Paley Sullivan (infield), Aimee Notaro (infield), Angelina Ciesnicki (infield), Emily Pietrzykowsi (UTL), Madison Groschel-Klein (infield) and Elianna Meola (RHP/UTL).

The 2026 squad opens the season on Saturday, March 7th when they travel to Union, NJ and Kean University's Cougar Field as they take on John Jay College in a non-conference doubleheader at 1:00 PM. They will play 12 games over Spring Break at THE Spring Games in Clermont, Florida before they return home and take on two more non-conference doubleheaders.
