Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team opened up the 2025 season tonight at the Bradley Center with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-11) over Saint Elizabeth University in non-conference action. The Eagles drop to 1-2 overall while the Roadrunners start the year out at 1-0 overall.
The Roadrunners were led by
Asya Akar who recorded 17 kills and 11 digs while
Jasmine Rolle added 11 kills in the match.
Valentina Palen collected nine kills and 13 digs while
Katie Bishop led the way with a match-high 40 assists along with three aces and two total blocks.
Scarlett Melick tallied 15 digs along with seven kills.
Emma Garcia posted 14 digs, nine assists and three aces. The team collected 52 total kills in the match.
For the Eagles, they were led by Marissa Heimbaugh who tallied five kills, two aces and eight digs. Sienna Volpe added four kills and 11 digs on defense while Dadlyna Louis put down six aces along with four kills and three digs. Alyssa Wells collected 19 digs on defense to lead St. Elizabeth on defense. The team recorded 20 total kills in the match.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they travel to King's College for a non-conference tri-match with the host Monarchs (12pm) and St. Joseph's University Brooklyn (2pm).
