Madison, NJ: The Drew University women's volleyball team took a three-set match from visiting Ramapo College tonight, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-12). The Rangers move to 3-9 overall while the Roadrunners drop to 7-3 overall.
Asya Akar led the team with nine kills while adding one block and six digs.
Jasmine Rolle posted four kills on nine attempts and no errors to hit .444 in the match while adding a solo block.
Emma Garcia posted 13 digs on defense for the team while
Katie Bishop posted 18 assists, nine digs, one ace and one kill. The Roadrunners recorded 26 total kills in the match on 103 attempts and 25 errors.
The Rangers were led by Emily Shirk and Lindsey Millis who each put down eight kills in the match. Shirk added five digs and one ace while Millis collected 12 digs, one block and five aces. Alyssa Rachwal dished out a team high 14 assists while Cristina Coombs posted nine. Drew tallied 31 kills on 103 attempts with 10 errors.
The Roadrunners host their first tri-match of the season on Saturday, Sept. 27th when they take on the City College of New York at 11am and Old Westbury at 3pm. CCNY and Old Westbury will face off in the middle match scheduled for 1pm.
