Mahwah, NJ: The Plattsburgh State men's soccer team used an early first half goal to defeat Ramapo College today in non-conference action. The Cardinals improve to 2-0 overall while the Roadrunners move to 1-1 on the year.
In the 5th minute of action, Gabriel Moscheni was able to get a foot on a loose ball inside the 18-yard box and slip into the back of the net. The 1-0 lead held despite a late offensive attack in the second half by the Roadrunners, the Cardinal defense held on for the shutout victory.
Plattsburgh State recorded five shots on goal in the game to Ramapo's four while the Cardinals tallied four corner kicks. The Roadrunners posted two corner kicks in the game. Matthew D'Ippolito recorded his second shutout in as many days with three saves in the game.
Zachary Natt posted four saves for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday night when they host Moravian University in a non-conference game at the Athletic Center at 7pm.
